Administrative Council Meeting- July 13, 2017
Present: Robin Priebe, Naomi Schultz, Pat Gorham, Ruth Smith, Dick Smith, Caramel Gorham, Janell Anderson, Val Prax, Jan Anderson, Pastor Deb Schaffran, Heather Hanson
Meeting called to order by Chairman, Robin Priebe, at 6:30pm and Pastor Deb led prayer.
Minutes of June 8, 2017 meeting reviewed and upon motion carried and approved.
Pastor’s Report: Attendance for bible study on Ruth has typically 1-3 people in attendance. All is going well with the nominations committee. They are well underway with nominations and will be meeting with teams in August. Janell will now be annual conference representative. Pastor Deb will be gone August 6, 2017 and Val will be leading services.
Financial Secretary: The June income was reviewed and approved.
Treasurer: Reported that there are more donations then last year and we are paid in full through April.
Finance/Stewardship: Developing a stewardship plan for starting in August. Currently looking for dates. Finance will meet on August 3 at 7:30 instead of August 10.
Christian Education: VBS will be August 1-3 from 6 to 7:30pm. We will be setting up on July 31 at 6pm. There is still a need for volunteers. Children’s Church is continuing to go well.
Memorials: haven’t met yet
Missions: We are looking at setting up Feed My Starving Children for October 2017. Undesignated funds to be used for painting project.
Staff Pastor Parish Relations: A change in office hours was approved. The office will now be closed on Monday and Tuesday and open Wednesday through Friday.
Trustees: Discussed building projects including painting, putting speakers in the Fireside Room, and moving the library to the Fireside Room.
Worship: Is set up through August 6 by committee design.
Men’s Club: Did not meet in July, next meeting will be August 3. There will be no more phone calls made, but the information will be placed in the newsletter and bulletin.
Women in Christian Service: suggestion was made to keep a stocked cart to dispense. This will be discussed further and a plan made. There is only 1 blessing bag left.
The materials for the painting project will begin being ordered within the next week. They will be stored at the fairgrounds.
Meeting Adjourned at 7:35 pm. Next meeting will be held on Thursday August 10, 2017 at 6pm.
