Some resolution ideas

September 2021

God blessed us with four wonderful seasons and here we are heading into fall. While I will mourn the end to the long warm days of summer I also look forward to the crisp cooler days of fall. All four seasons have a beauty unique to itself.

For me one of the things I welcome about fall is returning to some routine. Somehow routine keeps me grounded. As we enter September the church also returns to some added routine. Admittedly COVID has put a kink in our “normal” fall routine, but we will do the best we can.

We usually hear about making resolutions as we enter a new year, but I am challenging you to make some right now in September. Below are some resolutions to pick from.

Spend 15-30 minutes every day with God.

Join the Friday (1:30) “Getting Ready for Sunday” Bible study. We discuss the scripture for the coming Sunday.

Volunteer to staff the “Nursery on a Cart” on Sundays, in the Fireside room

Join in worship every Sunday of the month

Volunteer to usher

Olive Wendell Holmes said, “September is dressing herself in showy dahlias and splendid marigolds and starry zinnias. ”

Make it a September to remember!

Your Sister in Christ,

Pastor Deb
